Anti-hail: You can fight hail
Add to this the often permanent damage done to
the plant or tree, as in the case of fruit trees or vines, which only
produce again years afterwards.
Loss of production, both quantitatively and qualitatively, can cause
a company to lose customers, with obvious repercussions in future
years and certainly only benefitting the competition. This is why
today priority is given to damage prevention rather than damage handling.
Today’s growers instal support poles to support anti-hail netting
before even planting their fruit trees. These nets protect the crops
and minimize any secondary damage.
Over the years, netting support structures have evolved – modern
structures need far less accessories and are therefore less expensive
– and consequently the use of anti-hail structures is much more
widespread. |
